I’ve been down a deep internet rabbit hole of researching skincare lately (just me?). After a hot > freezing > warm > cold winter and a few issues probably from my own skin makeup, I’ve been testing and attempting to perfect a good day and night routine for myself. Personally, I need something simple, not too expensive and pretty clean products, if I can help it. Enter: Clinique Moisture Surge 72-hour auto-replenishing hydrator.
I’ve been using this creamy gel moisturizer for a few weeks now and am super impressed! After rolling my face at night, I finish with a thin coat of this and can immediately feel my skin drinking it in.
Since I’ve been using it, I’ve noticed my fine lines are a lot less noticeable (and I’m really trying to figure out how to mostly get rid of my forehead lines) and my skin texture is so much more even making makeup application a breeze. When I don’t use it at least every other night, I can tell.
Bonus: It’s also oil and fragrance free and works for sensitive skin, too.
If you’ve seen it before but it looks a little different, it’s because Clinique has reformulated the hydrator to work non-stop for 72 hours delivering a 152% moisture boost and keeping your skin almost twice as hydrated as it did before. Check. And it keeps working even after washing your face!
I love a good oil or serum before the moisturizer, so I’m currently using Josie Maran Argan Oil, but I’ve also got a couple of goodies on order to test out – and they’re affordable! So stay tuned.
Nothing sounds better to me right now than a hot bath + bath bomb, face mask, cleanser, micro exfoliating roll, oil and a hydrating gel. Treat yourself this week, y’all. You deserve it.
